Anna came in nervous. “I don’t know how to be photographed,” she said, half-laughing, half-serious.
We didn’t force anything. No forced smile, no “chin up, shoulders back.” Just a slow walk, a few minutes of her forgetting the camera was even there.
And then it happened, she looked past the lens, not at it. Something honest crossed her face. That’s the frame I kept.
Not every portrait needs a big story. Sometimes it’s just someone finally seeing themselves the way others already do…
